The Legend of the Burning Sands was an interesting concept, being a spinoff of The Legend of Five Rings. By the time it released, things had changed quite a lot, including in L5R, which concluded its first and successful storyline by then.
As well, there was this weird shift in publishers, with this game ending up at a spin-off company that was finally folded within Wizards of the Coast. So I was working with Wizards people through this other entity.
