Atonement (1995)
Wildly different directions
I’ll admit, I didn’t love working on Vampire: the Eternal Struggle. I really didn’t resonate with the source material, had next to no history with it, and it’s safe to say that not every project is right for every artist. I did however like how Atonement came out, even if it doesn’t read as part of the world.
Part of why I liked it, I think, is precisely because it didn’t read as part of the world. This particular set was to have some Middle East influences within it, but much of the art didn’t really lean too far into it. I leaned pretty far into it, here.
