I’ve mentioned elsewhere that at times, early on, I would do a take on an illustration, have second thoughts, and then do another take, often submitting one or both. This illustration for Vampire: the Eternal Struggle was onesuch.

What is notable here is that I don’t have a scan of the final art! Above I am using a scan from the printed card, which that it looks ok is somewhat impressive. In any case, the painting had been done on canvas and not very large, so it too had a rougher look anyway. These Nostferatu type guys aren’t much to behold, and as for why they are on a card with such a seemingly non-sequitur mouthful of a title, I could no longer tell you.
