L5R: Kitsu Motso (1996)
Obsolete Methods
By the Crimson and Jade expansion of L5R, this game had become a regular part of my schedule, and that was just fine. As the card game I did the most illustrations for among the other non-Magic games of the 90s, these were often character pieces.
Kitsu Motsu followed the standard flow of work for the period. As an original, it has some oddities. Sometime after leaving college I took to mounting paper or canvas to masonite. I’d soak the canvas or paper and using a white glue and a damp panel, would pull the paper or canvas over to the backside, let it dry, and get to work.
