MTG: Absorb (2022)
Working amid the chaos
Absorb and Urza’s Incubator were painted at a chaotic time, specifically while I was in the middle of two moves. The thumbnails for this piece were done as my studio quickly vanished into U-Haul trucks and much of it into storage for a few months. By the time I was rolling on producing sketches for this, my studio was cleared and I was left to work on the kitchen island, in a sea of mess—the final bits that needed sorting and packing before exiting our prior home.
That was…less than ideal.
