MTG: Mnemonic Sliver (1997)
The brains of this outfit
Slivers were one of the earliest, recognizeable and iconic Magic-created creatures. These legless beasts propel themselves like snakes with an upright torso. They have a single appendage, usually ending in a rather long sharp lance, and long, sharp, eyeless heads. Pretty gross stuff.
I don’t have the assignment sheet for this commission anymore to see if it was called something else in development, which was often the case. But there was something in the word, “Mnemonic,” in the title (or it’s in-development placeholder) which called for a special kind of sliver. In this case, one with an especially large amount of brain matter.
