It is also available as a 2/2 Zombie card, while supplies last

In the wake of Magic: the Gathering in 1993, the next decade in particular generated a slew of games in the format. Alderac Entertainment Group had one of the most notable ones in The Legend of the Five Rings. But they also produced a pirate-themed game called 7th Sea.

I remember very little about the context of this game’s existence, I just know I was asked to do precisely one illustration for the game, assigned as, “Rusty Cutlass,” and renamed for publication on a card of a character named, “Pete ‘Gang’ Greene,” which maybe has more character, but notably changes the context of the illustration significantly! In the former case, the sword is the focus, now the skeleton pirate is. I suppose the pirate skeleton is the more important of the two, so I don’t mind that so much, I suppose.
