Recently, we revisited my artwork for Step Through. This month’s sketch gallery therefore, features a few related artist proof backside commissions.
This piece features some of the beach life, with one of those glowing crystals beginning to grow out of the sand behind our tiny crab. Incidentally, the reference for the crab was shot at the same beach at the same time as that which I used for the painting, as mentioned in that post.
A theme with commissions on this card has begun to be requests for having other characters stepping through the door. In this case, Fblthp, the one-eyed creature who is always lost and wandering, in Magic.
Here we have the character from Uba Mask stepping through.
These sorts of black and white and color painted commissions are available in very limited quantities most months here. And sometimes, I livestream working on them!
