Role-playing games usually require the fleshing out of the worlds they describe, and this means books full of characters, creatures, locales, and cultures for you to incorporate in your game. For Star Wars, this means filling in the blanks on the rest of the ecology across multiple planets and, heck systems.

When beginning to work on the Star Wars RPG, I was a bit excited since Star Wars was a foundational influence on what would become my career. So it was a little anticlimactic to find that some of the work done for this game involved things that weren’t in the movies, or maybe didn’t exist yet. Sometimes they had appeared in comics or other media related to the franchise.
