Do titles matter?
I’ve mentioned elsewhere that when I became an illustrator, I imagined that I would paint more Science-Fiction type stuff. Turns out, that half of the F&SF world dropped off much faster in terms of illustration use. But the Netrunner and Battletech games were early chances to do so, and a couple of the few. Star Wars has remained the only really ongoing viable SF property to work on.
Netrunner was at least 50% visualizations of cyberspace. But there were a few outdoor, “Meatspace,” locations, to use a word from the cyberpunk genre.
